David Gresham and Shaun Walsh graduated from the NYS Police academy together in 1986. They served together as state police officers for two decades in varying capacities. Gresham ran the state police lab in Olean for many years; Walsh was a trooper, tactical team leader, and DOT inspector.
Ironically the two lifelong public servant, fellow state police officers, and friends are also next door neighbors.
The next chapter in their paralleled lives takes shape in the Town of Wellsville courtroom. Gresham was elected in November to serve a four year term beginning January 1, 2025. Walsh has served the bench for sixteen years and will continue as an associate Justice for the Village of Wellsville.
