Reikin Reynolds passed away this summer, consider remembering him with a donation
From the family of Reikin,
This is the first year that we are not able to celebrate our son and brother, Reikin Reynolds, birthday in person with him as he tragically passed away in July. He would’ve turned 20 years old on October 20th. We will, instead, celebrate in a different way by honoring his remarkable legacy of kindness as well as his immense love for music by donating 4 months worth of one-on-one instrumental music lessons to a deserving student at Beat City Music in Olean, NY. Two months of lessons will be donated by us and the other two months will be matched by Reikin’s own money that he left behind.
We are in the planning stages right now in developing a music scholarship in memory of Reikin. Music was his passion, both as an aspiring guitarist and vocalist. In the words of Hans Christian Andersen, “Where words fail, music speaks”. This was especially true for Reikin. Music became the outlet in which Reikin was able to express himself best. Music helped create the soundtrack of his life and was the keeper of his memories and experiences. Music infused an illuminating and creative light into Reikin’s soul. Discovering music changed Reikin’s life in amazing ways, and we hope to provide that same artistic spark for other young area musicians as well.
