Mary Louise Beckwith, 94, Angelica/Wellsville

Mary Louise Beckwith age 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (October 9, 2024) at Highland Park Nursing Home in Wellsville.

She was born in Bradford, PA on February 15, 1930 the daughter of Robert Perry and Blanche Lamphier Perry. She was a lifelong area resident, marrying Bruce Beckwith on September 28, 1946, and was predeceased by him on December 30, 1974. Mary was retired from the former Angelica Central School, where she had worked in the cafeteria. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Angelica, and a former member of the O.E.S. Angelica Chapter. Mary enjoyed camping (She and Bruce had a site at Sunny Hill in Richburg), she also enjoyed Audiobooks, however her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, and very much loved being a grandma.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Bruce, her brother Robert Perry Jr., and her sister Donna Torrico.

She is survived by her daughters: Donna Lynn (Ken) Bird of Connecticut, Betty (Dana) Guinnip of Angelica, Kim Marie Garrett of Albany, her sister Joanne (Tom) Day of Hornell, her grandchildren Heather (Tom) Goodwin, David (Stephanie) Bird, Lisa Mintell, Sarah Garrett, and Christian Garrett, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends on Monday (October 14, 2024) from 2-4pm at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home in Angelica, where a Funeral Service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 4:00pm with Leslie Haggstrom officiating. Burial will be at Until the Day Dawn Cemetery in Angelica.
