Tuesdays with Grace provides a timely program as the Wellsville Balloon Rally approaches. On Tuesday, July 16th, Bob Hand, Balloon Pilot will present a program on the ups and downs of flying in a balloon.

Hot air ballooning has only been around for a little over 2 centuries.  The Wellsville Balloon Rally has been a special event attracting many to the area since 1975. For almost 150 years before the airplane, hot air ballooning affected human interest and achievements. Two types of balloons are flown today, hot air and gas balloons.  Hot air balloons fly due to a hotter temperature inside the envelope than outside.

If you want to learn more about the ups and downs of flying in a balloon, come to Grace United Church, 289 N. Main Street in Wellsville on the 16th.  A light lunch will be served at 12:30 and the program will follow at 1 pm. All are welcome and there is no charge for the event.
