ANDOVER – Cindy Rose Keating, 67, passed away on Sunday (June 30, 2024) at home following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Keating was born on June 6, 1957 in Kittery, Maine to Robert and Barbara (Richardson) Smith. On July 11, 2015, on the Keating Farm, she married Richard C. Keating who survives. Cindy worked as a bartender and waitress, most recently at the Village Pub in Andover. She worked for nine years at Saputo’s in Friendship and she worked along with her husband on the Keating Farm.

Along with her husband of eight years, Cindy is survived by her children, Steven Doran of Brownsville, Pa., Denise Doran of Olean, Sara (Curtis Hall) Brassell of Wellsville, Larry (Gina) Keating of Wellsville and John Keating of Andover; her siblings, Robert (Lisa) Smith of Henrietta, Richie (Denise) Smith of Livonia, Elaine (Jim) Figueroa of Mass., Marylyn (John) Earnst of Binghamton, Tammy Smith of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Robert (Natalie) Smith of Ky.; as well as many grandchildren, one of which is Amya Rose Doran, who shares her grandma’s middle name and her heart, and several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved canine fur baby, Huke.

In her younger years, Cindy was a great athlete who excelled at track and field events.

She was a true animal lover, devoted to the care and nurture of horses, dogs, cats, cows and even chickens. Life on the farm was a true delight to her.

Her adventurous nature was displayed by her love of riding on the Harley—on the luggage rack. She was an amazing cook whose masterpieces included seafood salad and chicken and dumplings.

Cindy was a fun-loving lady who truly loved life. She took great pleasure in hanging out with friends and family alike, especially at Loon Lake. She had a way of making everyone happier just by being with them; she just naturally made everyone smile. Cindy loved others well and others loved her, also.

There will be no prior visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at the farm on Saturday (July 13) at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Baker-Swan Funeral Home in Andover. © 2024 Baker-Swan Funeral Home.
