From the GOACoC,

The Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the 14th Annual Southern Tier Corporate Challenge, taking place on June 27, 2024, at 6 p.m., at the beautiful Cattaraugus County Campus of Jamestown Community College. This exciting event promises an afternoon of wellness, fun, and community spirit, and after is Olean’s “Largest Office Party,” where participants can celebrate their hard work with post-race food trucks, drinks, and music!

Participants can expect a professionally timed 5K run, where runners can compete for awards and bragging rights, on a course that’s sponsored by Worthy Pharmacy, with Timing sponsored by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. Those who choose not to run can enjoy a leisurely stroll with friends and colleagues in the non-timed 2.1 Mile Fun Walk.

Who doesn’t love an award and a little recognition? There will be overall awards, 1st-3rd place, granted to the fastest teams, calculated using the five fastest times. There will also be a most spirited team award, so make sure you show your team pride!

Registration is open now and will remain open until the race starts. To register, visit OleanNY.com/challenge. The GOACC will be open for early packet pick-up from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on race-day, or packets and Cutco-sponsored wristbands will be available from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the start/finish line.

Registration for both the 5K Run and 2.1 Mile Walk is $25, or $30 on race-day. Register as a team and have each member pay individually online, or for larger teams, contact GOACC at (716) 372-4433 or Events@OleanNY.com for a promo code. Members register online using the code and your team will be invoiced later.

GOACC and the Olean Food Pantry are teaming up again to host the Cereal Challenge among the companies in the Southern Tier. You and your coworkers will collect boxes of cereal at your place of business. From now until June 24, please bring your collected items to the Olean Food Pantry. Not only will you be putting cereal on struggling families’ tables, but two winners, Most Boxes Donated per Company and Most Boxes Donate Per Employee, will be announced at the Corporate Challenge! Send an email to Events@OleanNY.com to let us know that your company will be competing.

Stop on down to the 14th Annual Corporate Challenge for a memorable day of community and celebration. For more information or sponsorship opportunities, visit the Olean Chamber’s website www.oleanny.com. We look forward to seeing you there!
