The contractor was not a county employee

On June 18, 2024, at approximately 7 :40 a.m., the Allegany County Sheriffs Office responded to a report that a person had fallen inside the County Office Building and required medical assistance. Upon arrival, a Deputy located the subject who had fallen down a staircase leading to the roof of the building.
Amity Rescue and Medical Transport Services evaluated the subject and transported him to Jones Memorial Hospital for further treatment. The victim was not a County employee and works for a contractor of the County. The incident is under investigation, no further details will be released at this time.
