The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Allegany County. The Heat Advisory remains in effect from 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024.
During Extreme Heat, please take caution and observe appropriate work/rest cycles by following these tips:
- Drink plenty of fluids but avoid alcohol, caffeine, and sugary drinks
- Stay out of the sun as much as possible and find shady areas
- Stay in a cool location
- Check up on and stay connected with relatives and neighbors
