Kyle Dunn, Curator, Steve Appleby, Curator Emeritus, and Aiden Mikolajczyk, Volunteer to speak at the Eldred WWII Museum

Eldred, PA – The new Curator of the Eldred WWII Museum, Kyle Dunn, along with Steve Appleby, Curator Emeritus, and Aiden Mickolajczyk, Volunteer will speak at the Museum this Thursday, the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
Dunn, Appleby and Mickolajczyk will speak on June 6, 2024 at 7:00pm in the Museum’s Mitchell Paige Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
The Presentation is titled “D-Day 80 Year Retrospective,” a title referring to the 80th Anniversary of operation Overlord, commonly known as D-Day. Dunn will discuss the events of D-Day with a slide-show presentation, Appleby will share some personal stories of WWII veterans who experienced D-Day, and Mickolajczyk will end the program with Eisenhower’s speech to the troops.
Kyle Dunn grew up in nearby Portville, NY. Armed with an intense passion for WWII history, and aviation history, Kyle volunteered at the museum for many years, He began his professional career as a Curator of the Eldred WWII Museum on April 1st of this year. Appleby, retired from the museum in April 2024 and had previously worked for the museum as Curator and Education Specialist for the past 17 years. Mickolajczyk is a current volunteer and re-enactor at the museum.
