The SPCA Serving Allegany County, founded 113 years ago in Cuba, NY, is thrilled to invite all Allegany County, and surrounding area, residents and families to Celebrate their 5-year Anniversary in their New Shelter. The celebration will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the shelter located at 5440 State Route 19, Belmont, NY 14813.
Since opening the new shelter in 2019, the SPCA’s Snip & Spay Clinic has spayed or neutered over 8,000 animals, and the shelter has successfully adopted out over 3,500 animals.
This FAMILY FUN DAY promises enjoyment for all ages with a variety of activities and attractions:
– **LIVE Dog Training & Dog Agility Demonstrations**
– **Games for Kids with Prizes**
– **Crafts to Make**
– **Delicious Food**
– **Local Vendors Selling Animal-Inspired Merchandise**
– **Live Music**
– **Wixson’s Bounce House**
– **Face Painting & Temporary Tattoos**
– **Barkery Bakery for Both Two and Four-Legged Sweet Tooths**
– **Helium Balloons**
-**Design an SPCA T-shirt Contest” (attached is a picture of Ella who created the winning design for the Create an SPCA T-shirt back in 2019)
-**Classic Hits Oldies 103.5 WJQZ will be broadcasting LIVE from the event during the day
Meet and greet a variety of animals, including some farm animals…baby goats, miniature horses, and pot-bellied pigs.
This event is not only a celebration of our new shelter but also a testament to our ongoing mission of finding “Furever Homes” for animals in need. We can’t spell “FUR”ever without YOU, and we look forward to celebrating this milestone with the community that has supported us throughout the years.
