Wellsville Central School District voters will be asked return to the polls on June 10 to decide on additional funding for a major investment in school athletic field facilities.

The project was approved in 2022 with a $2.1 million dollar pricetag. Since that approval the price has dramatically increased according to school district officials explained in a October 2023 statement:

“…due to unforeseen inflation of construction costs, we need additional funding to ensure the successful completion of the pavilion”

That increase lead to the initial request for voter approval, which was denied in a rare vote in October 2023. The Wellsville Central School administration has revised the plans to accomodate some logistical concerns and offered a three minute video to explain this project in more detail.
