Wellsville school district voters are reminded to cast ballots in what can only be called a historic election. The 2024-25 school district budget will be up for approval, visit the district website for budget details.

The budget is not the historic part of this election, it’s the thirteen candidates vying for three school board open seats. As longtime school board President Al Mosher confirmed, this is the largest field of candidates during his tenure, maybe in school history.

All three incumbents are eager to continue to serve the district, but they have steep competition. The ten challenging candidates include many well know district residents who have been been campaigning for about a month.

The Wellsville Sun has been reporting on this campaign with questions for candidates and some of the field have penned letters to the district voter. You can review those interviews and letters using this aggregated link: School board candidate interviews and letters

Polls close at 9pm and we will have election results published as soon as they are made available.
