WELLSVILLE, NY — The Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce and The Wellsville Development Corporation will be hosting their third annual Community Clean-up Day Saturday, June 1st (10am-2pm). This is a village-wide event and individuals, families, and organizations are encouraged to join!

“Due to inclement weather in April, Community Clean-up Day has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 1st 10am-2pm,” says Bruce Thomas, Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. “It is a great way for families, businesses, and community groups to show support for our village. Last year we had over 80 volunteers participate, and we are excited to continue this annual event, harnessing the power of cleanup to inspire people to make an impact on Wellsville’s business district.”

How Community Clean-up Day Works:

1.       Group/organization contact person stops by the Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce office (114. N. Main Street, Wellsville) Saturday, June 1st between 10am-2pm to check-in and pick-up their cleaning assignment. Trash bags will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own tools and gloves.

2.       Each participating group/business/organization will be assigned a “block” to clean-up and will receive a map with clean-up locations clearly marked upon check-in.

Suggested ways to clean-up assigned areas are to sweep sidewalks, pick-up trash, pull weeds, rake leaves, etc.

To take part in the Community Clean-up, please contact Bruce Thomas at (585) 593-5080 or wacocexec@wellsvilleareachamber.com.
