Retired Realtor enjoyed traveling, needlepoint, & flipping houses

Norma Jean Fritz, 75, left her frail body and became a citizen of God’s glorious kingdom on January 27, 2024.

Norma Jean, name meaning “Patterns of grace and mercy” was born on March 28,1948 to Helen Stevens and Rolla Williams in Spring Borough County, PA.  She graduated from Wellsville High School in 1966.  Norma Jean married Douglas Fritz from Danville, PA in 1988 who passed in 2007.

During her adult years, Norma Jean lived in many places, including Puerto Rico, Texas, Pennsylvania and Florida. Norma Jean always had a smile to share and never met a stranger.  She enjoyed her years working at the Board of Realtors in PA and thrived solving issues and situations that came up.  Norma Jean retired in 2011 when she met Robert Williams and moved to Florida.  She spent the rest of her life traveling the world with Bob and visiting most of the states in the USA.  She and Bob enjoyed flipping houses in Florida, and NJ (as everyone in Florida knew her) said she was the happiest she had ever been.

Norma Jean is survived by her dear friend Robert Williams, brother Alton (Olive) Stanford; son Lance (Danel) Monroe; grandchildren Juel (Nathaniel) Pena, Alayna Monroe, Vaughn Monroe and great-granddaughter, Evie Pena; and many nieces and nephews.

Below is a poem that Alton Stanford wrote in memory of his sister, Norma Jean

FREE RIDE, by Alton Stanford

Her mind was gone, but she was never alone, though her brilliant memory had ebbed away.

Jesus promised by her side He would stay.

Though bound by time, He promised her I’ll bring you home in a while.

I’ll send My Angels and you’ll ride in style.

On the Angel Express the ticket is free.

Jesus paid her way when He was hung from a tree.

Robbed of her memory, she aged before our eyes.

I thought she’d live to a hundred or so, what a surprise.

Over a year had gone when we said goodbye.

I knew I’d never see her again with tears in my eye.

On the Angel Express the ticket is free.

Jesus paid her way when He was hung from a tree.

All those growing up memories, I kept in my heart.

Though time and distance separated us, when we’re both in Heaven nothing will keep us apart.

You can’t pay enough; you can’t earn your way.  Jesus is the only one able to pay.

When you leave this Earth and the ride is so fast.

You won’t be able to consider how long it will last.

Will you get on board, will you get to ride?

Your time is coming, there’s no place to hide.

On the Angel Express, there’s room for you and me.

Since Jesus paid the price, the ticket is free.

Do you want to how you can ride on the Angel Express?
