Five members of the “Bill Day” family elected to serve

The Wellsville Volunteer Fire Company held their annual election of officers on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Pictured are from left to right, Bryce Schoonover – 1st Asst. Captain, Shawn Mills – President, Peyton Day – 2nd Asst. Captain, Chris Martelle – Vice President, Kayla Day – Secretary, Beth Day – Treasurer, Board of Directors Bill Day, Sr., Nicole Helmer, Josh Kemp and Bill Day, Jr – 1st Asst. Chief.
The following members were also given awards for years of service by Joe Sempolinksi representing Assemblyman Joe Giglio: Mark Vossler – 50 years; William Day, Jr. – 35 years, Jason Osgood – 30 years; Rene Kelleher – 25 years, Cory Smith – 20 years, Billy Day, III – 15 years and Kayla Day – 5 years. Missing from the photo are Captain Shannon Day and Board of Directors Chris Perkins and Jim Biddle.
