Learn a little more about one of the volunteers who help make Wellsville a great place to live, work, and play:

Who are you ?

Hi! I’m Taren Drake and I am the proud mom of a happy, amazing, little two year old daughter, Remi. Along with my two golden doodles Chase and Brew. I am originally from Arkport, NY, and I have been living in the Wellsville area since 2014. When I became a mom in 2021, I decided to open my own salon, Salon 406, which I still operate out of my home on North Main St. I joined the WDC just last year and I am loving every minute of it!

What are your favorite things about Wellsville and the surrounding community ?

What I love about Wellsville is that I felt a warm welcome immediately. Living on North Main St., I love being at the heart of all the activity in the community. Stopping at our local restaurants and shops on walks with Remi is part of our daily lives. I’ve also met so many wonderful clients working in Wellsville whom I have become very close with. I love how tight knit the community really is. When they say “it takes a village” Wellsville is really good at representing that statement.

What are some of your hobbies and how about one fast fact ?

My hobbies are cooking, walking and running, and volunteering throughout our community with amazing people. I absolutely love hanging out with my friends, they truly have become my family here in Wellsville. Fun Fact: I recently received a guitar and I am teaching myself how to play.
