Emergency crews have a new hydraulic stretcher thanks to community donations

From the Canaserago Lions,

On February 21st the Canaseraga Lions Club was able to upgrade one of the Canaseraga Ambulance Co.s manual stretchers with a new Stryker Hydraulic / electric stretcher. The Lions club was able to help with this and other upgrades through the generous donations from our community to our “Ambulance Replacement Fund”. Two years ago we were able to upgrade both ambulances with up to date  A.E.D.  units.

Pictured here trying out the new cot and the obligatory photo op. are Ambulance crew members Bill Crubaugh, Darwin Bacon, Rick Scott, Glen Odell, Noah Vanname, Mike Miller, Kevin Preston, Liz Hall, and Canaseraga Lions club President Jon DeRitter.

The donation of this cot we are hoping will make the ambulance crews job easier and hopefully safer. We are currently seeking grants and other funding to upgrade the cot for the second ambulance.

We would like to thank our community for their generous support, and also to invite anyone interested in helping their community to join your local ambulance company and or attend a Lions club meeting and explore the many other community projects we are involved with.
