Andover Bicentennial Committee hosting ‘Soup Cook Off’ fundraiser this Saturday

The Andover Bicentennial Committee is holding a fundraiser on Saturday, March 9, from 1-5 p.m. at the Andover Fire Hall

There is still room for contestants who wish to enter their favorite soup. Cost to enter is $10, with cash prizes awarded for first, second, and third place. To register to enter, please email andoverbicentennial@gmail.com

Soups will be judged by customers who will pay $5 to taste each of the entries. The $5 entry fee for tasters/judges also includes free tastings of beer served by Kent Beer Company and a chance to win one of several door prizes and. A 50-50 raffle drawing will also be held at the conclusion of the Soup Cook Off.

The Andover Bicentennial Committee is in the process of planning the 200th birthday celebration for the Town of Andover, scheduled for July 4-7, 2024. Several activities for people of all age are planned for the event, which is being held around Andover’s traditional Independence Day Celebration.
