Southern Tier Catholic plans St. Patrick’s Party & Raffle, $31,000+ giveaway

March 16 party attracts over 500 guests each year

OLEAN, NY – Southern Tier Catholic School (STCS) will host its traditional St. Patrick’s Day Party & Raffle on March 16, 2024 at the school’s new location at 921 N. Union Street in Olean, NY. Top prize in the cash raffle is $20,000, in addition to 17 other cash prizes totalling over $31,000. 

The St. Patrick’s Day Party & Raffle boasts a long tradition of raising funds for scholarship recipients at the school as well as funding extracurriculars and sports.  Ticket purchases and sponsorships help fund this worthy cause. Historically, over 500 attendees have joined the fun – rocking great music, cheering on the costume party participants, toasting with free beer, wine, and soda, ripping pull tabs into mountains of winnings and enjoying a tasty beef-on-weck dinner with the ever famous peanut butter cookies. The party begins at 7:00PM and endures ‘til 11:00PM with winners announced shortly before the end of the party.

One ticket, at a cost of $100, admits two people to the party as well as entering purchasers in the raffle for 17 cash prizes.  The winner need not be present to win although seeing the winner bound to the stage after winning is a bonus to attending.  The announcement of winners is viewable on Facebook live on the Southern Tier Catholic school page.

The community contributes immeasurably to this event.  Sponsorships include: CUTCO Foundation, Napoleon Engineering Services, St. Bonaventure University,  Northern Chautauqua Catholic School, Raymour & Flanigan Furniture & Mattress, Acme Business Systems, High Point Federal Credit Union, Community Bank, Staci Werlau Agency-State Farm Insurance, EMTON Disposal Group, Sports Locker, Catholic Children’s Learning Corp., Wayne Paving and Senator George Borello.

Multiple businesses and individuals come together with the school families , staff and board volunteers to sell tickets.
