Current Assemblyman Joseph Giglio announced last week he will not seek re-election
New York State Senator Tom O’Mara:
New York State Senator Tom O’Mara has endorsed Joe Sempolinski in his campaign to represent the 148th Assembly District. Sempolinski is a candidate for the district currently represented by Joseph Giglio, who has announced that he will not be seeking another term.
“I’m proud to endorse Joe Sempolinski for State Assembly” Senator O’Mara announced. “He has the experience necessary to hit the ground running for the constituents of the 148th Assembly District. We know he will vote in favor of our region’s conservative values. I need him in Albany with me to fight the radical liberal agenda that is currently hurting New Yorkers so much.
“I also want to praise the great career of Assemblyman Giglio” O’Mara added. “I started in the State Assembly the same year as Joe Giglio. He has done fantastic work for his constituents. I wish him well and will miss serving with him.”
“I’m so honored to have the support of my dear friend Senator O’Mara” Sempolinski stated. “I look forward to working with him in Albany. He is a formidable and respected leader in our state. Together we will be able to accomplish great things for our mutual constituents.”
Senator Tom O’Mara represents the 58th State Senate district which overlaps with the 148th Assembly District. He is also a former member of the State Assembly.
New York State Senator George Borrello Endorses Joe Sempolinski:
New York State Senator George Borrello has endorsed Joe Sempolinski’s candidacy to represent the 148th District in the State Assembly. Sempolinski is running for the district currently represented by Joseph Giglio, who has announced that he will not be seeking another term.
“I’m happy to endorse Joe Sempolinski for State Assembly” Senator Borrello stated. “I’ve known Joe for many years, and he is uniquely qualified for this important job. He knows Cattaraugus, Allegany and Steuben counties as well as anyone. He has already served them all well in his previous roles and will be a great partner in Albany.”
Borrello added “I have the privilege of representing most of the people in the 148th Assembly District. During my time in the Senate, I have had the joy of working to serve those people with the great Joe Giglio. I’m sad to see Assemblyman Giglio retire and I wish him and his family all the best things in life.”
“George Borrello is a great Senator and a great friend” Sempolinski stated. “There is no one in the state of New York doing more to fix what has gone so terribly wrong in Albany than Senator Borrello. It would be an honor to stand beside him and fight for the people.”
Senator George Borrello represents the 57th State Senate district which overlaps with the 148th Assembly District.
