Richard D. Stewart III:  Loving Husband, Father, and Son

Richard D. Stewart III, 47, of Maple Grove Road, Friendship, passed way Friday, February 2, 2024 at home.

Born on May 8, 1976, in Corning, he was a son of Richard D. Stewart, II and Anita Hoad Parulski.  On May 10, 1997, in Bath, he married the former Cristin M. McKenna who survives. 

Rich was a graduate of Haverling High School Class of 1994.  He later graduated from Houghton College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology.

He started working for Friendship Dairies over twenty years ago, and continued on as a Regional Quality Manager for Saputo Cheese USA, Inc.

Rich enjoyed raising horses, cows, goats, and chickens with his wife and daughters.  He also enjoyed volunteering with the 4-H program and gardening.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, they were the center of his world.

He had served on the Friendship Central School Board of Education and had attended the Cuba First Baptist Church.

He was predeceased by his father Richard D. Stewart, II., and a brother Reese Stewart.

A Memorial Service for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, New York 14727.  Pastor Bill Beck will officiate.
