Wolfgang I. “Pete” Rockwood, 76, Angelica

Wolfgang “Pete” Rockwood age 76 was set free on December 21, 2023, his body just could not fight anymore.

Pete was born in Germany on August 18, 1947. He attended Angelica Central School and was a graduate of the “Class of 1966”. Pete was so thankful that he was able to spend the last 27 years in the town that he loved, with so many fond memories growing up. Pete had a lot of hobbies including: raising fish and at one time ran a fish store (P& B Tropicals). He most loved spending time with family and friends. Pete would strike up a conversation with anyone, and loved to see others smile. He served in the Air Force, worked several jobs including: Air Pre-Heater, Insurance Sales a security guard and much more.

He is survived by his mother Irene Lincoln of Mt. Morris, his wife Kathryn Rockwood of Angelica,  his daughters Stephanie (Mark) Dowd of Belfast, Amy Ost (Ben Puszc) of Salamanca, his son John Newton of PA, his brother Mike Rockwood of FL, sister Cheryl Lincoln of CO, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his beloved cat “Star Star”.

He was predeceased by his son Peter Rockwood, Grandson PC, brothers Rick Lincoln and Tom “TC” Rockwood.

He was most proud of the fact that he was approaching 34 years of sobriety, which he loved the fellowship of AA and the page in it.

The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday (December 28, 2023) from 2-5pm at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home in Angelica, where a Memorial Service will be held at 5:00pm with Kevin Palmiter officiating.
