Troopers make arrests after theft in Bolivar and Friendship NY

The plague of theft; from petit larceny, to burglary, to grand larceny, is a growing concern in Allegany County. NYS Police took a major bite out of crime yesterday with the arrest of three men yesterday.
Troopers report the arrest of a Wellsville man, Anthony Greenwald, after crimes reported from the town of Bolivar NY. Greenwald was charged with two class D felonies, Grand Larceny and Identity Theft.
Two Friendship NY men were arrested on both felony and misdemeanor charges. Paul Smith 37, and Andrew Ely, 43, both of Friendship were charged for an August burglary in Friendship. That crime resulted in twin felonies for each man, Grand Larceny and Burglary, both in the 3rd degree.
Smith and Ely were both also charged with an additional class A misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree.
Both of the accused were released with an appearance ticket for a future court date.
