Fredrick L. Rassman Jr., 75, Belmont

Frederick L. RASSMAN, Jr., 75, of Belmont, NY, died Sunday, October 15, 2023 in UR Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester.  

Born February14, 1948, in Tarrytown, he was the son of Frederick L. and Annette Kovel Rassman.  A graduate of  Pleasantville High School, he earned a degree in ceramic engineering from Alfred University.  He was employed by A.L. Blades in Hornell and Belmont as head of quality control.  On August 23, 1986, in Belmont, he married the former Linnea Stoll, who survives.  Freddie enjoyed designing and setting up solar and wind power.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved tinkering and scuba diving.  

Surviving besides his wife, Linnea, are: two children, Dylan Rassman of Wellsville and Alyssa (Seth) Frndak of Buffalo; a granddaughter, Evelyn Frndak; two brothers-in-law, William (Elizabeth) Stoll of St. Louis, MO and Matthew (Silvana) Stoll of Boise, ID; and a niece, Jill Benson of CA.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Harry Rassman.  

Cremation was at Olney-Foust Private Crematory.  

Memorials may be made to SPCA serving Allegany County.
