Pennsylvania state police have finally released information on the shooting of a Fillmore man and the attempted shooting of a Galeton, PA woman. Commonwealth troopers say the alleged incident occurred September 10th on Germania Street in Galeton, Potter County.
The Major Crimes Unit, Trooper J. Miles says that Robert Wildey, 59, of Gaines has been formally charged with two counts of criminal first-degree attempted murder, four counts of aggravated assault as F1 and F2 felonies, firearms not to be carried with a license, felony burglary, felony criminal trespass, two counts of terroristic threats, two counts of reckless endangerment and two counts of simple assault. In a public information release, PSP said Wildey allegedly went to the victim’s address and shot the Allegany County, NY victim and also attempted to shoot the female victim. He fled the scene, troopers said but was finally found.
Wildey was places in the State correctional Institution at Coal Township after bail was denied. A preliminary hearing, originally set for October 16th has now been moved to October 30th at 1 p.m. before Magisterial Court Justice Chistopher D. Kalacinski.
