DA Shaffer said Evens allegedly had sexual intercourse and oral sex with a minor who was a student at the school. This was following charged being filed, an investigation and an arrest warrant being obtained.
Evens was arraigned by Magisterial District Dominic Cercone and jailed on $75,000 percentage bond. Cercone set bail conditions that include no contact with minor children.
Evens is to appear for central court and the judge assigned is Magisterial District Judge William K Todd.
The Bolivar-Richburg Central School District has released a statement on Evens arrest:
The District was initially notified of allegations surrounding this individual in early July. As soon as we were made aware of the potential charges we placed the person on administrative leave and as a result she has not been on campus or in contact with District students since the end of last school year. Because the alleged behavior did not happen in connection with our school district or our district students we are not aware of any other details at this time.
