Traffic is slowed down on Route 19 just heading outside of Scio heading toward Wellsville after a car ran into the back of a smaller school bus.
The Sun has learned students from the Scio bus were taken to Jones Memorial Hospital for injuries.
Some kids were not retained, police said. Some of the kids transported were for precautionary measures. However, police said the impact “was substantial.”
The bus was going toward Scio school.
A state police trooper was on the scene with employees from an afterschool program.
The accident took place around 5:15 p.m.
A Scio resident took the photo on this story as the bus was stopped near their home.
Because this is a car-school bus accident, more vehicle and traffic agencies will have to report to the scene.
