Allegany County District Attorney investigation leads to arrest

Suspect: Tyler J. Meisenzahl 18yrs from Rochester NY
Details of the Incident:
On April 23rd, 2023, the Village of Alfred Police Department was able to intervene with a in progress sexual assault next to the Alfred Fire Hall adjacent to the Police Department. Meisenzahl fled the scene but was identified later in the investigation as a perspective Alfred University Student.
This investigation was turned over to the Allegany County District Attorney’s Office and was taken before a Grand Jury for indictment.
Meisenzahl was indited on Rape in the First Degree, Kidnapping in the Second Degree and 2 counts of Assault in the Second Degree.
Meisenzahl turned himself into the Alfred Police Department in the 31st of July was arrested for the charges listed above. Meisenzahl was arranged in Allegany County Court and remanded to the Allegany Country Jail for $20,000 bail $40,000 bond.
