Leonard Floyd
The Buffalo Bills bolstered it’s pass rush in a big way earlier this week with the addition of defensive end Leonard Floyd on a 1-year deal worth up to $9 Million. Floyd is a lanky edge rusher at 6’6 240 pounds with long arms and elite hand usage. The Georgia product has amazing quickness and a decent repertoire of moves, including a wicked spin move. Floyd exhibits impressive bend off the edge and a relentless pursuit of opposing quarterbacks with 47.5 career sacks.
Defensive Line Competition
There will be a lot of incredible camp battles along the entire defensive line. At defensive tackle I expect Ed Oliver, DaQuan Jones, Poona Ford, and Jordan Phillips to make the final roster, leaving Tim Settle on the bubble. As for defensive end I anticipate that Leonard Floyd, Greg Rousseau, AJ Epenesa, and Shaq Lawson will make the team. Von Miller will likely begin the season on the physically unable to perform list, and I expect Boogie Basham to be traded for a mid-round pick.
Cameron Dantzler
The team also added depth to its secondary by signing former all-rookie cornerback Cameron Dantzler to a 1-year deal. The Mississippi State product has good size for the position at 6’2 190 pounds.
Madden Cover Boy Josh Allen
In other Bills news, quarterback Josh Allen has been chosen to grace the cover of Madden 24. The popular game is released in August prior to the start of the NFL season. Allen called the honor of being the first Bills player to ever make it onto the cover of Madden a “childhood dream come true.” Here’s hoping the team and JA17 avoid the dreaded Madden curse!
