Due to extreme condition in the Genesee River valley today, some youth sports are cancelled. After driving through Wellsville this afternoon, this is completely understandable. The entire river valley is filled with wildfire smoke, sore throats and irritated eyes are common complaints.

Girls softball is taking the night off, both games at the Quackenbush complex will be rescheduled.

Wellsville Little League has decided to play the two scheduled games this evening.

Little League President “CJ” Rahr reports that the league will play tonight but cautioned all players, coaches, and spectators who may have breathing difficulties to bring any medication that may be needed.
