Route 19 is still open

MercyFlight helicopter was called to the scene of a motorcycle and motor vehicle accident on State Route 19 in Amity around noon today in front of the new Quicklee’s truck stop.
Critical life support treatment took place at the scene with Medical Transport Service employees and the Amity Rescue Squad.
Route 19 is open, however, emergency officials were holding up a sheet to block the view of the incident.
MercyFlight arrived and loaded the patient, continuing treatment.
The Allegany County Public Safety employees at the 911 center are calmly dispatching not only the tragic accident but a fire in Hume at the same time.
