A Cattauragus county man faces three felonies after baseball bat attack
All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court
On April 3, state police arrested a Canaseraga man for disobeying a court order and for committing a felony family offense. Matthew J Loncao, 32, was charged with misdemeanor criminal contempt and felony aggrevated family offense because Loncao has prior convictions. Troopers reported that Loncao was held.
On April 4, Lonaco was arrested again in Canaseraga for felony criminal contempt with physical contact and another charge of felony family offense. Again State Police report that Loncao was held.
In Amity, Patrick J Boor, 29, was arrested for a misdemeanor and a felony charge. Boor is accused of criminal obstruction of breathing, a misdemeanor, and a felony charge of Aggrevated Family Offense. That felony charge is because this was not Boor’s first criminal conviction and state police report that Boor was held.
Ashford dispute leads to arrest on felony assault, weapon charges
On April 5, 2023, SP Machias Troopers arrested Dustin J. Dashnaw, 40, of Ashford, NY for Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree, and Resisting Arrest.
Troopers responding to a report of an altercation at a residence on Fritz Road in the town of Ashford determined Dashnaw had assaulted another party with a baseball bat, causing injury to that party, as well as and damaged property with the same bat.
Dashnaw was arrested and arraigned in Ashford Town Court, where he was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail without bail. He is due to reappear in Ashford Town Court later this month.
