High-speed chase driver faces more charges, Rochester man arrested for felony grand larceny

All those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in court

Wellsville Police arrested Sharry A. Gross, age 54 of Wellsville, charging her with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a motor vehicle 3rd. Gross was also issued traffic citations for Seed in Zone and Passed Red Light. The charges stem from an incident that took place in the Village of Wellsville on March 10th. Gross was transported from the Allegany County Jail, processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Gross was returned to the Allegany County Jail and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on April 18th at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police arrested Michael A. Russo, age 23 of Rochester, charging him with Forgery 2nd (Class D Felony) and Grand Larceny 4th (Class E Felony). The charges stem from an investigation conducted by Wellsville Police of an altered/forged check that was passed in the Village of Wellsville in July of 2022. Russo was located by the New York State Police and turned over to Wellsville Police. Russo was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Russo was released and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on April 4th at 4:30 pm.
