NYS Troopers make two major arrests

Arrest made in Wellsville-Scio-Bolivar burglaries and Amity home invasion

Residents of Allegany county can breath a sign of relief that two major criminals are now behind bars and facing multiple felony charges. The arrest came on January 24th, 2023 but for crimes committed as late as August 2022.

Jeremiah D Edwards, 30, of Wellsville will face four different charges in three different courts.

In Scio, Edwards was arrested for felony burglary with illegal entry, and petit larceny

In Wellsville, he was arrested for felony Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the third degree, property exceeding $3000 in value.

In Bolivar, the charges against Edwards are Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree.

Edwards was HELD on the Scio and Bolivar charges

Troopers arrested a man from West Silver Springs NY early on January 27th after what appears to be a home-invasion style attack. The list of charges paints the scene of burglary, assault, weapons menacing, choking, damaging property, and endangering children. Here is the full list of charges against Norm F Truax, age 40:
