Sally J. Mock-Stephens, 82, of Lakeland, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023. She was born July 13, 1940, in Wellsville, NY to William J. and Mary F. Hurley. She moved from Wellsville to Lakeland in 1974.
She worked for Piper Aircraft, until its closure, Martin Marietta and LRMC until her retirement. After Sally retired, she enjoyed traveling, crocheting, tending to her large collection of orchids, and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.
Sally is survived by her loving husband, Charles D. Stephens of Lakeland; brother, Robert (Barbara) Hurley of Wellsville, NY; daughters, Sharon Warren of Lakeland and Susan Rachwal (Wayne Levin) of Lakeland; step-son, Charles Stephens of Lakeland; grandchildren, Jason (Amanda) Duncan of Lakeland, Raymond (Crystal) Miller, III of Bartow, FL, Jessica DuBose, of Kissimmee, FL Jennie DuBose of Tampa, FLand Jimmy Warren of Tampa, FL; seven great-grand children; several nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends who became family over the years.
She is predeceased by her parents, William J. and Mary F. Hurley, and her brother, William J. Hurley, III.
There will be no visitation or service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
