Shinglehouse teen injured in pedestrian crash

Pennsylvania State Police have released information on a vehicle-pedestrian collision at 7 p.m. on December 29th. Trooper Bryce Reichback said the incident happened on State Route 44 in Sharon Township. Police said the 17-year-old male victim from Shinglehouse sustained injuries of unknown severity and was transported by ambulance to Olean General.

The driver has been identified as Robin L. Putnam, 76 of Bolivar. Troopers said the teenager was standing on the road in a poorly lit section of highway. The teen was wearing dark clothing including a camo coat. The roadway was also wet due to melting snow. The vehicle and pedestrian came to final rest 90 feet from the point of impact. The male driver was wearing a seatbelt and he was not injured. The accident report did not indicate any charges.
