The HuFriedyGroup, which sells dental equipment to dentists, will be leaving Cuba in Allegany County and 29 employees will lose their jobs.
The Allegany County Legislators will have a copy of the letter from HuFriedyGroup in their resolution packets today during the board meeting at 2 p.m.
The facility, currently at 31 Water Street in Cuba, filed a WARN notice with the department of labor ‘s office of dislocated workers program saying the facility would close. The notice said there is not a union and the employees would lose their jobs on March 31, 2023.
Wesley Jones, Senior Manager, Human Resources, said in the notice that was filed on Dec. 22, the company will relocate to Rush, N.Y. and Mentor, Ohio. The company was also known as Crosstex International, Inc.
In the notice, filed by Jones, they said the company builds, “Dental instrument manufacturing, infection prevention, and instrument reprocessing workflows.”
Correspondence from HuFriedyGroup (formerly ) indicating that their facility located in Cuba will be relocated to Rush, NY, and Mentor, OH, and approximately 29 employees will lose their jobs.
