Donna Jean Schleigh, 72, of Roeske Road, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 16, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Reeves. In Elkton, MD on December 30, 1970 she married her husband of 52 years, Thomas “Tom” Schleigh, who survives.

Many years ago, Tom discovered the Wellsville area as he was delivering a shipment to North Main Lumber, taking Tom’s word – and leaving behind a career opportunity in Morrisville’s Plastic Industry – Donna left North Philadelphia, and moved to Wellsville with Tom because they believed it would be a good place to live. Once getting to the area, she was employed by Elliott’s Bakery and then A&M Bowling Alley, working in the Kitchen and Bar; most of all she enjoyed taking care of her family and home.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by: a daughter, Kelli (Rich) Rogalski of Fredonia; a son, Douglas (Joseph Lang) Schleigh of Philadelphia; two grandchildren, Brenna (Sam) Schleigh-Nelson of Westfield, NY and Shawn Rogalski of Fredonia; a brother, Joseph (Kathy) Reeves of Balm, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a memorial service on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 2 pm in the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home of Wellsville, 34 West State Street, with Deacon David Harvey presiding.
