Ian M. Jones, Assistant District Attorney prosecuting

Defendant’s Name:  Eric Kaczor and Kyle Yaglowski

Address:  Belmont, New York       

Charges:      Assault 2nd (D felony)

Court Appearance Date:  October 5, 2022

Proceedings:  Eric Kaczor and Kyle Yaglowski were each indicted by a grand jury for an alleged fight inside of the Allegany County Jail.  Yaglowski will be arraigned on the Assault 2nd charge on October 19th, while Kaczor is due back in court on October 25th.  They are each facing a class D felony as a result of the alleged incident.

Defendant’s Name:  Brandon Short

Address:  Wellsville, New York       

Charges:      Arson 2nd (class B felony);
Criminal Mischief 4th (class A misdemeanor)

Court Appearance Date:  October 5, 2022

Proceedings:  Brandon Short was arraigned in County Court, pleading not guilty to both counts of an indictment.  Mr. Short is accused of starting a fire at the Best Inn, as well as breaking the windows of the room he was staying in.  Motions have been scheduled for November 2nd, and a competency hearing has been scheduled for January 4, 2023.

Prosecuting Attorney:  Ian M. Jones, 1st Assistant District Attorney     

Defendant’s Name:  Dylan Perkins

Address:  Belmont, New York       

Charges:      Criminal Mischief 3rd (E felony);
Criminal Tampering 3rd (B misdemeanor)

Court Appearance Date:  October 5, 2022

Proceedings:  Dylan Perkins was indicted by a grand jury for 2 separate charges following an incident within the Allegany County Jail in which he is alleged to have destroyed jail property.  Perkins will be arraigned on the indictment in Allegany County Court on October 19th.

Prosecuting Attorney:  Ian M. Jones, Assistant District Attorney
