WPD arrests for attempted murder, local vagrancy, crimes against children

Wellsville Police arrested Jenna R. Holly, age 37 of Wellsville, charging her with Attempted Murder 2nd (Class B Felony), Assault 1st (Class B Felony) and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th. The charges stem from an incident that took place on Maple Avenue in the Village. Holly was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Holly was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $50,000.00 cash bail or $100,000.00 property bond or $250,000.00 partially secured bond. Holly is due back in Wellsville Village Court on October 4th at 4:30 pm. Wellsville Police were assisted at the scene by New York State Police Uniformed Troopers, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Investigators, New York State Police Forensic Investigation Unit, Alfred Police Department, the Allegany County District Attorney’s Office and the Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corp. Wellsville Police arrested a male, age 43 of Olean, charging him with Petit Larceny. The charge stems from an incident that took place at Dollar General on West Dyke Street. He was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. The is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on September 20th at 4:30 pm.

Tuesday August 30, 2022

Wellsville Police, acting on a Bench Warrant issued by the Wellsville Village Court, arrested Daniel E. Fronczak, age 46 of Bolivar, for failure to appear in Court on a Previous Petit Larceny charge. Fronczak was additionally charged with Trespass for an incident that took place on North Main Street. Fronczak was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Fronczak was released and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on September 20th at 4:30 pm.

*Fronczak’s name has been used despite a felony charge because HE IS TERRORIZING THE VILLAGE.

Wellsville Police arrested Sean M. Dawson, age 29 of Wellsville, charging him with Sexual Abuse 1st and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The charges stem from an incident that took place on East Genesee Street in August. Dawson was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Dawson was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $10,000.00 cash bail or $20,000.00 property bond or $40,000.00 partially secured bond. Dawson is due back in Wellsville Village Court on September 6th at 4:30 pm.

*Dawson was arrested and released a week before this crime which landed him in the county jail:

Wednesday August 24, 2022

Wellsville Police arrested Sean M. Dawson, age 29 of Wellsville, charging him with Forcible Touching, Public Lewdness and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The charges stem from an incident that took place on East Genesee Street on August 13th. Dawson was additionally charged with another count of Public Lewdness and Endangering the Welfare of a Child for a second incident that took place on August 15th on East Genesee Street. Dawson was processed, issued and appearance ticket and released. Dawson is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on September 6th at 4:30 pm.
