Boyd Chappell comes to Wellsville from Midland, Michigan
The Board of Directors has announced that Boyd Chappell has been named Chief Financial Officer at Jones Memorial Hospital.
A resident of Midland, Michigan, Mr. Chappell comes to Jones Memorial from Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital, where he served as Chief Financial and Operating Officer for more than six years. He has also held financial positions at a number of healthcare facilities in Utah and Alaska. A graduate of Utah State University with a BS in Accounting, Mr. Chappell earned his MBA at Weber University in Ogden, Utah. He also holds a Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas.
“Boyd comes to Jones with an impressive amount of healthcare experience and will be a wonderful addition to the Administrative Team,” said Jones CEO James Helms. “He also has extensive experience with the unique challenges that face those of us in rural medicine.”
“I am excited to be joining the Jones Memorial admin team,” said Mr. Chappell. “The combination of the rural setting and the affiliation with the University of Rochester system is an appealing blend that will allow me to build on my prior experience while providing occasions for professional growth and development.”
Boyd and his wife, Alice McArthur Chappell, are the parents of three teenagers: Nolan, Afton, and Mia. The family also includes two goldendoodles, Jack and Emme. In addition to spending time with his family, Boyd’s interests include sports – particularly baseball and football – and reading. Boyd and his family will be looking to relocate in the coming months.
