New Art Gallery and Studio Opening in Wellsville, NY

Grand opening is planned for August 19

The public is invited to the grand opening of Studio 34fourteen, a new art gallery and artist studio, which is set for Friday, August 19 from 4:30pm – 8:00pm.  The grand opening will feature live acoustic music, meet and greet with some of the exhibiting artists, hors d’ oeuvres, self-guided tours of the space and a complimentary outdoor cigar bar. The gallery is located at 3414 Riverside Drive on the same property as the Riverside Farmers Market across from Kwik Fill.

The Gallery is being opened by Marshall Green, formerly the executive director of the Wellsville Creative Arts Center and current owner of Top Entertainment DJ Service. “The space will serve two purposes”, stated Green. “Half will be an art gallery that features art works from local and regional artists and the other half will be a personal studio space for me to create my own art”. Green commented that he sees this gallery as a place to purchase, “that unique statement piece”, for one’s home or office.  Green also hopes to utilize his connections in NYC to further develop relationships with curators to help better market Upstate NY artists.

The artists currently featured at Studio 34fourteen are: Glenn Zweygardt, an emeritus professor of sculpture from Alfred University; Marsha VanVlack, a Whitesville sculpture artist and art educator; Mike Griffin, a ceramic artist from Naples, NY; John Merlino, an accomplished painter from Buffalo, NY; and Marshall Green.
