New graffiti adorns Village of Wellsville highway infrastructure. It was first noticed Tuesday by an anonymous source. The red/hot pink spray paint shows the word “bitch” (misspelled on the street) along with squiggly lines and an attempt, one would think, of a swastika.

Wellsville Police Chief Tim O’Grady said today his department had not received any reports, but would now launch a criminal investigation.

Not long ago, a person or people, spray painted building and public signs. The mischief is noticed on Railroad Avenue and Chamberlain Street.

Anyone with information is urged to connect Wellsville Police at 585-593-5600. Also, recently, thugs removed and stole brass military plaques from Veterans graves at Sacred Heart Cemetery at Sacred heart Cemetery on South Main Street in Wellsville.
