The veteran lawman will retire after 40 years, his last term ends December 31

Allegany County Sheriff Rick Whitney of Bolivar opens up about his decision to retire. The seasoned lawman has more than 47 years on the job.
He also reflected with WQRW’s Joel Oriend on the weekly Community Focus program.
Whitney will call it a career at the end of the year.
