Bradford-Lindzey Raymond Hennard Jr passed away May 13, 2022 in Buffalo General Hospital with his wife of 73 years holding his hand.

He was born in Buffalo NY on March 3, 1925 to the late Lindzey Hennard Sr. and Mabel Tidd Hennard. He married Janet Cleveland on March 20, 1949 in the town of Allen. Together they had nine beautiful children.

 Mr. Hennard was a 1966 graduate of the Technical College at Alfred and retired from Air Preheater as a draftsman. He had been active in his Church, as well as leadership rolls within The Boy Scouts of America Organization for over 20 years. During the Flood of 72, Lindzey and his senior scouts from troop 5 evacuated the stranded throughout the greater Wellsville area via canoe flood rescues. Lindzey was proud of his accomplishments in scouting, but his legacy is his family. Husband, Father, Father-in-law, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Great-Great Grandfather, Brother Uncle, Son, Son-in-Law, are the titles that he most proudly carried.

Left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, three daughters – Ruth (Grant) Lane, Martha (David) Payne, Mary (Josef) Becherer, four sons – Alvin (Remedios) Hennard, Timothy Hennard, Thomas (Jennifer) Hennard, and Todd Hennard, 27 grandchildren, and several dozen great and great great grandchildren. Also remaining are his sisters Carol Carmer and June Pope, two brothers Eugene (Irene) Hennard and Daniel Hennard.

Predeceasing Mr. Hennard were his parents, beloved parent in laws Charles and Vivian Cleveland, two sons, David Hennard and Stephen Hennard, sister Virginia Slocum and four brothers, Courtney Hennard, Edward Hennard, James Hennard, and Donald Hennard. Also predeceased by one grandson, one great grandson, and one great great granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
