Aurelius J. Manupella, 82, Richburg, U.S.N. Retired

Aurelius J. Manupella 82 of 304 Rte. 275 passed away on Friday April 29, 2022 at the Veterans Administration Hospital Bath following a lengthy illness.

Born on October 13, 1939 in Troy N.Y. he was the son of John C. and Mame Viola Sperehawk Manupella.

Aurelius married Gayle Harvey on July 24, 1971 in Almond N.Y. Mrs. Manupella survives.

Mr. Manupella was a retired Veteran of the U.S. Navy retiring in 1978 following twenty-two years of service.

Following his naval career he was employed by the U.S. Customs Service in San Francisco CA.He later held various positions with the U.S. State Dept. in Africa, Poland and other parts of the world, prior to his retirement.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four children. Kathleen Ann Allen Cusick Hendersonville N.C. James A. (Wanda) Allen Richburg N.Y. John C. (Angelea) Manupella San Jose CA. Jason C. Manupella San Jose CA.

Six Grandchildren Sixteen Great-Grandchildren, One Great-Great-Grandson. One Brother Anthony (Renee) Manupella Troy N.Y. He was preceded in death by a Sister.

Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar on Monday May 9, 2022 from 1-3 P.M. Funeral services will follow visitation at 3P.M.Deacon David Harvey of St. Mary’s Church Bolivar will officiate.

Burial with Full Military Honors will take place on Tuesday May 10, 2022 at the Bath National Cemetery at 11 A.M.
