Elected officials will be gathering today at the county seat for two key legislative meetings. The first meeting of the Ways and Means will include a detailed look at the counties expenditures over a two week period. Planning Director Kier Dirlam will ask the committee to approve a request to apply for a Hazard Mitigation grant. The grant is to fund the majority of the 5 year Hazard Mitigation Plan which will include every county municipality. “This plan will be a multijurisdictional plan that includes all Towns and Villages within the County, and will help to document, assess, and provide solutions for future risks related to natural hazards.”
