WELLSVILLE – Yvonne F. Cornelius, 70, passed away on Tuesday (April 5, 2022) at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville.

Yvonne was born on June 6, 1951 in Olean to Francis Herman and Meredith Ruby (Perry) Green. She attended Wellsville Central School. She worked in various manufacturing settings during her lifetime including Inman Mills and Jostens in South Carolina. She followed that by working at Current Controls and, finally, Northern Lights Candles, both in Wellsville.

Yvonne is survived by three sons, David Green of Andover, Lloyd (Michele) Campbell, Jr. of Wellsville, and Laramy E. (Tiffany) Cornelius of Friendship; six siblings, Linda (Bob) Perry-Baldwin of Wellsville; Carol Peck of Andover, Edie Starks of Bloss, Pa., Tom (Connie) Green of Scio, Rebecca (Ernie) Willover of Wellsville; and Melody (Jerry) Drake-Green of Knoxville, Pa., twenty grandchildren, David (Nikki) Green, Jr, Dustin Green, Vernon Green, Teddy Green, Damon Green, Douglas (Heather) Cook, Jessica Campbell, Ashley (Walter) Poole, Crystal Campbell, Hope Campbell, Lloyd Campbell III, Madison Campbell, Jason (Jamie) Abram, Nichole Hixson, Daniel Hixson, Jordan Cornelius, Eric Cornelius, Laramy Cornelius, Jr., Austin Spencer, and Trinity Allen; numerous great grandchildren; and one aunt, Ruthann Perry of Wellsville; and her fur baby, Little Bit.

Yvonne enjoyed listening to country music and playing Bingo. She whiled away many contented hours by coloring intricate mandalas. The ocean was a favorite attraction when traveling, which is why she was partial to Miami, Daytona Beach and St. Augustine, Fla. In her younger days, Yvonne delighted in singing.

While she loved and spoiled her cat, Yvonne’s grandchildren were her joy. She delighted in spending the holidays with them as well as the rest of her family. She generally just loved people and was a straight-shooter with everyone. Later in life, Yvonne was baptized by Pastor Jeremy Gorham and attended Crosstown Alliance Church. Through her years, Yvonne was a tremendously loving woman.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday (April 9, 2022) at Baker-Swan Funeral Home, Scio/Wellsville, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 4:00 officiated by Rev. Paul Jones. Online condolences may be offered at www.baker-swan.com.
