St. Bonaventure taking over New York City, watch parties in Wellsville tonight for NIT Final Four

St. Bonaventure alum Mike Vaccaro, who was a fixture on the Olean Times Herald sports pages for years, is the lead columnist for the New York Post.

A multi-time national sportswriter of the year, Vaccaro reaches into his bag of tricks and puts together informative and emotional stories on St. Bonaventure’s basketball team and the community each year during tournament time.

Giant supports local student athletes!!

The team plays Xavier tonight at 7 p.m. on ESPN in the NIT Final Four.

After practice for the game at the Madison Square Garden, the team visited the 9/11 memorial.

The team and fans were featured on The Today Show this morning during an Al Roker segment.

The Beef Haus in Wellsville will have a Bona watch party with the game on the televisions in the bar and restaurant.

The University said three days ago that almost 600 alumni donated close to $50,000 to send eight coach busses to New York City for the game tonight. The alumni is paying for the bus fare, tickets and hotel rooms for the students.

Wellsville’s locally owned Fassett Lane Lumber cheers for all student athletes!
