Polk, Kinnicutt lead Bolivar-Richburg indoor track to second at Section V championships; Knight wins title

Leila Knight took first place in the weight throw in the field competition at Houghton College.

The Section V Class A4 Indoor Track and Field Sectionals were held this past weekend at Houghton College and Bolivar-Richburg brought home a lot of hardware after a season of hard work.

Bolivar-Richburg Athletic Director Dustin Allen sent along these photos and results as the school is proud of the accomplishments of their student-athletes this winter in all sports.

LEILA KNIGHT

Leila Knight took first place in the weight throw in the field competition at Houghton College.

Competing in the girls’ division, she is now a Section V individual champion in Class 4A.

LLOYD KINNICUTT

It’s been an incredible senior year for Lloyd Kinnicutt. He made first team all Big 30 in football, then made the championships of Class D in wrestling and advanced to the super sectionals.

Lloyd Kinnicutt won two Section V titles.

Lloyd also worked hard with the indoor track and field team. At the Section V Class A4 championship at Houghton College, Kinnicutt won two Section V titles, taking first in the shot put and first place in the weight throw.

RUDY POLK

Bolivar-Richburg’s Rudy Polk is no stranger to the first-place podium.

Rudy came home with three Section V championships during the Section V Class A4 meet at Houghton College this past weekend.

Polk won first place in the 55-meter dash. He then won first place in the long jump and the triple jump.

The success of Polk and Kinnicutt helped Bolivar-Richburg’s boys team take second place overall in the Section V meet.
